Imaging the Divine as intimate partners helps to balance consciousness of the sacred and heal the distortions of the current, rigid patriarchal systems in both our religions and our governments. 

On this site, you’ll find weekend experiences for women, with presenters we love, whom past attendees have suggested, and whom we hold in great regard. They have made, through one medium or another, a resonant and lasting impression, which is not an easy feat in these times in which we live.

You'll find Rites of Passage that honor the phases of womanhood, from First Blood to Croning, and that attune to the Divine Feminine as a creative source both immanent and transcendent. Gaia - She who constantly gives birth to Herself.

We present our weekends in the spirit of learning, laughter, and a longing for connection and creative thinking with other human beings. We invite you to bring your heartfelt curiosity, your skepticism, your sadness, your fears, and your joy to any one of our wonderful, interactive weekends.

We want to know you. We want to know how you move through the world.

We’re living in remarkable times in which humanity is awakening to realities that for hundreds of years have been hidden or ignored; judged by science and medicine as having no value.

It is often the women of indigenous cultures who kept the secrets of the Universe alive through their stories, their folk magic, their healing remedies, and their oral traditions. Many of these cultures viewed (and still do) plants as spiritual allies with whom they form relationships.

On the Earth level, the ‘Mushroom Tribe’ has once again begun to make its voice heard, offering up assistance in ecology - with the clean up of oil spills, and assistance with body decomposition, in medicine - with innovative treatments for depression, and PTSD, rebuilding or boosting the immune system, and as simple food.

In the Cosmos - the stars have long provided a landscape of wonder and awe and have acted as a navigational map both geographically, through the study of astronomy, and personally, through the study of astrology.

This weekend, on our 21st birthday, in this 21st century, we bring together two powerful women to help us weave the threads of connection between ourselves, and the Universe. The women of Gaia’s Womb are calling you to join us in the study of myth, magic and medicine to be found in the heights of “Above” and the depths of “below!”

Janet berres

Janet Berres has studied astrology and been a professional tarot reader since the early 1970’s. She has been heavily involved in the astrology, and tarot communities for all of her adult life. From 1992-1995 Janet co-owned a metaphysical bookstore that sponsored many events for astrologers and hosted speakers and workshops to further the enlightenment of the astrological community. Being an avid reader on all esoteric and occult subjects, and the author of the book Your Guide to the Tarot, included in Llewellyn's Tarot Kit For Beginners, published in 2005, Janet comes to Gaia’s Womb to help us discover our individual messages from the cosmos. She will be providing personalized messages based on the information in our birth charts As above...

Dr. Crystal Dawn

Dr. Crystal Dawn is a vibrant force of nature. She is an Emergency Room Physician, who informs, inspires, and empowers us to take back personal responsibility for creating well being and vitality by choosing wholesome, healthy, happy lifestyle choices that reduce the symptoms of most chronic dis-ease and thereby reduce or eliminate dependence on prescription medicines.  

Just beneath the Earths surface the mushroom mycelium spreads a network of communication and blooms its fruitful message upon the surface. The presence of this miraculous fungal entity represents rebirth, rejuvenation, regeneration and release. Using music, guided imagery and the ancient shamanic practice of breathwork, Crystal will take us on a journey into communication with the fungal grandmother spirit and bring back a message from below.
